Take in a daily breath of fresh air with the EPIK Banff pedElec!
Like the popular tourist destination it’s named after, the EPIK Banff pedElec is sure to draw a crowd.
The EPIK Banff pedElec features a retro design with fenders, a rear rack, and shiny chrome plated front handlebars.
The signature Coaxial Motor System found in each EPIK bike is concealed within a lightweight frame, and the battery on this model is hidden in the rear rack which can be used to carry groceries,
bags, and other items. All components of the EPIK Banff pedElec can also be customized (excluding battery, motor, and control panel).
Designed for daily use, the EPIK Banff pedElec makes it easy to love your everyday commute.
The convenient step-through frame of the EPIK Banff pedElec allows you to mount the bike with ease, and extra care has been taken to build a comfortable seat and handlebars for extended trips.

About the Patent-pending Coaxial Motor System
Each EPIK pedElec bike is equipped with a patent-pending Coaxial Motor System discreetly built into a lightweight frame to maintain the look and style of a modern bicycle.
Unlike most other electric bicycles which use a hub motor in either the front or rear tire that can only propel a wheel directly,
an EPIK pedElec uses a mid-motor system which drives the crank using the same single shaft as the crank system and makes use of the rear gears for greater torque and higher speeds using the same energy.
This streamlined design distributes weight more evenly in the center and bottom frame for improved performance and handling, and provides the flexibility to customize your bike with your choice of wheels.
The EPIK pedElec Coaxial Motor System also includes both torque and speed sensor controls which detect your initial torque to provide you with a burst of power to begin pedalling,
and help maintain your speed based on your preferred settings. Using the advanced technology of the patent-pending Coaxial Motor System, an EPIK pedElec bike supports you throughout every cycle.

Advanced Battery Technology
Dr. Battery’s pedElec battery is engineered by Leyden Energy’s cutting-edge cell
technology. Leyden is a pioneer research and development manufacturer of next-generation
battery technology in the industry, situated in Fremont, California. Leyden has
developed the winning patented formulation for battery performance that overcomes the
obstacles of conventional lithium-ion batteries. Dr. Battery’s pedElec battery packs
outperform other batteries in stability, reliability, longevity, and temperature durability.
About the battery
EPIK employs its own research and development team and offers 3 types of batteries for its line of EPIK pedElec bikes,
all of which are manufactured in ISO9001 and RoHS certified facilities to meet UL, UN and RoHS standards.
-
Professional Series Pack - Using an HYB cell, after 400 recharge cycles this battery retains an industrial standard of 70% capacity. One-year warranty.
-
Advanced Pro Series Pack - Using a Leyden Energy 18650 lithium-ion cell, after 800+ recharge cycles this battery retains over 80% of the original capacity.
With an enhanced thermal management battery system, this battery can also tolerate a wide temperature range between -20°C (-4°F) and 60°C (140°F). Two-year warranty.
-
Green Series Pack - Using a Boston-Power Swing cell or Leyden Energy patented lithium imide electrolyte chemistry cell, after 1,000+ recharge cycles this battery retains over
80% of original capacity and is the most environmentally sustainable. Three-year warranty.
EPIK pedElec batteries are removable, dockable, and have a charge time between 4 and 6 hours (fast charge compatible under 2 hours). Warranties are serviced by an in-house technician in Richmond, BC to ensure timely convenient service.
Dr. Battery’s packs have the following advantages over other lithium-ion batteries:
